07 Jun WELBECK FARM SHOP SPONSORS CELEBRITY COOKERY THEATRE
The award-winning Welbeck Farm Shop is to sponsor the Cookery Theatre at this year’s Festival of Food and Drink, held at Clumber Park on 16th and 17th September.
The Cookery Theatre welcomes famous TV chefs and bakers for visitors to enjoy at no extra cost over the weekend. Over the festival’s five-year history, some of the nation’s favourite and most colourful chefs and bakers have appeared in the Cookery Theatre including Michelin star chef John Burton Race, Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood, and the Fabulous Baker Brothers. This year sees the return of two of the crowd’s favourites – This Morning’s resident chef Phil Vickery and Chopping Block’s Rosemary Shrager. The duo will be joined by other TV bakers yet to be announced. Festival organiser Bev Channell said: “We are thrilled to have Welbeck Farm Shop on board as sponsors of our Cookery Theatre. It is a highlight of the festival and a ‘not to be missed’ attraction as our culinary guests are always entertaining as well as creating amazing menus.
We also look forward to seeing the Welbeck Farm Shop experts join them on stage through the weekend.” Welbeck Farm Shop is found at the heart of a vibrant artisan food community. Two thirds of the shop’s impressive product range is sourced from or prepared at the historic Welbeck estate, which is home to a community of exceptional artisan food producers. This community includes the Welbeck Butchery and Dairy, Stichelton Cheese, Welbeck Abbey Brewery and Welbeck Bakehouse. Shoppers visiting Welbeck Farm Shop can also enjoy the neighbouring Harley Gallery, Portland Collection and Harley Café. General Manager Oliver Stubbins from Welbeck Farm Shop said: “We have been regular stall holders at the Festival of Food and Drink at our neighbouring estate at Clumber, and are delighted to sponsor the Cookery Theatre this year. The event showcases great local food in a fun and informative manner, which is in keeping with what we set out to achieve on a daily basis here at our Farm Shop.”
Now in its fifth year, Clumber Park’s Festival of Food and Drink is the biggest event of its kind in the region, bringing together delicious food and drink producers, artisan specialists and food experts, with over 150 exhibitors all under one roof in the Food and Drink Marquee. Ticket prices start from just £7 in advance with free entry into Clumber Park included, offering a fantastic saving. Children aged six years and under are also admitted free. Family tickets are available. – See more at: http://www.festivaloffoodanddrink.co.uk/food-diary/festival-news1/welbeck-farm-shop-sponsors-celebrity-cookery-theatre-clumber/#sthash.pCuGwV7G.dpuf
